The Swingers Club – How to Swing
Please avoid any other possible connotation of the title. The intended title is about how to swing the club and not join the club. And the latter part of the title is about Golf as well! First of all, let us look into what a perfect golf swing is?
Is it called perfect by the perfect kinesthetic feeling of a swing? Is it called so by the sound of the ball taking the impact and the release on to the flight? Or is it determined by the intended distance and the loft the ball takes? Does it depend on our ability to prevent any twitch and slice? Does it come by the squarer hitting of the ball?
It is not that every Tom, Dick and Harry cannot make a perfect swing nor does it mean that every Tom, Dick and Harry can do so. So let us see how we can possibly go towards achieving it by learning a few of the nuances.
Addressing, Stance and Balance
First of all, your position or the stance that you take towards the ball can make you take a good swing. A swing must not topple you on to the ground. If you balance yourself neatly, then this balance might give you a feeling of a perfect swing whether or not the ball is hit at the right place.
Ensure that your stance is right with your feet placed at the right width, aligned with the target line with the intended landing area in mind, a perfect grip of the club, shoulders positioned like the lead shoulder being a little higher than the other and such little perfection towards your stance will increase your chances of taking a perfect swing.
All that starts well ends well
Taking a perfect start at the back-lift straight over the ball, keep the club on a straight connecting line depending upon the angle you want to hit. Keep your concentration focused on the ball till and after the impact with your hands, shoulder muscles and other muscles perfectly coordinating with the movement.
During the follow through with the club after the point of impact, your knees can point to the angle of the hit or the landing area. Your slightly bent knees can move flexibly with the movement of the club forward.
Don’t stem your feet on the ground
Your feet may be firm on the ground but you cannot keep your foot like a stem of a tree and your hands like branches. Almost sixty percent of your body parts, height-wise, may have to turn to the opposite of your hitting area.
Your body turns towards the opposite side of your intended target during the back-lift or the swing. And along with the swing let it move forward freely with the club’s movement.
Along with this, the concentration and focus on hitting can help you take a perfect swing!
