Learn Golf effectively through VHF Channels
Though, we may have studied in pedagogical structures with only auditory learning, knowing the channels that best work for us will help us learn quickly. Some of us learn through vision, some through hearing and some of us through feeling.
Intrapersonal communication is equally important as interpersonal communication. The learning that happens through intrapersonal communication, especially in learning skills, can be far superior when you use the right kind of words to communicate within yourself.
You can listen to people and analyze which channels they favor. For example, if someone says, “I can see what your problem is,” means he prefers visual channels. “Nice to hear from you again,” means an auditory learner or thinker and “I feel terribly bad about what I have done,” means a kinesthetic learner who learns everything through how he feels.
A visual learner may prefer a live demo of how golf is played, while an auditory learner wants to listen to the tips given by a coach, and a kinesthetic learner may want more of practice to get better at the job.
Ask your coach to tell you which part of your body should be involved and which muscles have to be tightened and loosened in order to gain maximum swinging power.
Visual Learners
Visual learners observe a lot through their vision and most of the times, they might sit straight and erect on the edge of the chair to see and observe how it is done. This is a natural process and something that is not very intended and conscious. They might analyze a swing or a stance by seeing and might be able to imitate the same to good effect.
They cannot remember instructions given by a coach and might ask to be shown how it has to be played. They use words such as “let us see what really happens,” “can you show me how it is done?”
Auditory Learning
Auditory learners listen to music and learn through instructions given by a coach than a demonstration or a practice. You can see them talking to self very often and they respond to sound and noise more easily than feeling and seeing. They can remember methods and procedures quite easily.
They want feedback on how they are doing from a coach and seek verbal comments on how to improve.
Kinesthetic learning
You cannot relate to the mechanics of how the game is played through seeing, if you are a kinesthetic learner. Kinesthetic learners are more of a slump and they talk in a slow pace and they might like a hug after doing something remarkable. That will be their reward for the job they have done.
They prefer practice sessions to be better golfers than a one-to-one conversation on how to play. Most of them might be good athletes and prefer words as “Let us get to feel it,” “That feels great!” etc.
