Titanium Drivers – What do they do – Part 3
As we have seen that titanium can result in accuracy and distance, we have also learned that nothing other than practice makes golfers perfect. Driving well does not only depend upon the kind of clubs used, but it also depends upon your practice and your ability to utilize the drivers to the maximum.
Learn how to utilize your drivers to the maximum by going through the following techniques.
Get used to the shaft
Now that you have bought your titanium driver, you are also introduced to a rather new kind of club and it might turn out to be initially difficult to take full control of the club. Also because, your club is longer than usual. Strike the right balance and then start getting yourself used to the mechanics of the driver in order to hit more graciously.
Let your hands do the trick
Take a good swing and use your arms to the fullest. Your arms must give you a higher velocity through the movement of your hands and the swing. This is achievable through the swing curve that you take. A good swing with a balanced approach on using the shaft will help you increase the speed of your clubhead and hit with maximum impact.
Do not strain muscles
Normally, we assume that strength is important while doing something and we tend to achieve huge strength by straining ourselves and our muscles. Such strength might help you push heavier things. But while hitting and throwing, the opposite works. The free flow of the hand and the swing that you take can determine your success.
Rigid Lower Body
Utilize your upper parts of your body and swing them appropriately. Do not give so much work to the lower parts of your body as this may reduce the speed of the club significantly. Using your upper body, you can create maximum power in your swing. Causing your hips to twitch might result in lower club speed and it is advisable and imperative to keep your lower body firmly positioned.
Usage of Legs and Shoulders
Legs give you balance and power to hit while shoulders perform the actions. A well planted leg gives you immense power and it is not that you should not move your knees at all. Shoulders give you swing, rotation and power and you must let the shoulders turn and swing freely in order to get the best out of the shot!
