Functions and Usage of Putters
What are putters all about? They are about a real feeling of golf and they add more style than any other drivers, wedges or woods. You look the most stylish and aesthetically appealing only when you are with the putter. Putter is one of beauty unlike other rude drives and strokes.
The green adds more to the charm of using a putter. Not only you on the green, but also the putters and their heads look more attractive than any other golfing equipment. When it comes to putters, you may have to learn about the various blade putters, oversized putters and the mallets. We will also look into what the various types of putters are and how best to use them.
Blade and Mallet Putters
Blade Putters have the smallest of heads and look extremely thin when compared to the other putters. If you hit it right with the blade putter, you are in no trouble and might secure a hole, but when you hit it slightly off-center, you might have to lose a stroke in the last parts of your game. But when rightly hit, they can be pretty accurate.
These days, putters are made of almost any metals. Graphite, Plastsics (for low weight heads) steel, aluminum, bronze etc, are all used to make putters. Nevertheless, cost shoots up to make these metals lighter materials when they are made as putters. Even face inserts may make the putters add a little more weight due to the lesser weight of the putts.
Face inserts not only save the clubfaces from wearing down due to impact, they offer greater assistance during the point of impact. But when it comes to putters, you do not make greater impact with the ball during a putt. Rubber and aluminum make the face inserts of a putter most of the times.
But this works in a different mechanism of creating a soft feeling to the whole of the club and to yourself with which you can be assured of a good path down to the hole. You must also be cautious in choosing a putter with the right weight as low weight putters might lead a long roll and high weight putters lead to stopping short before the hole.
