Choosing the most suitable Golf Club – Must read before buying

Rules of a Golf Game may allow you to choose Clubs of your choice to a certain number and in most cases you are to use mandatory clubs to a certain number. Buying clubs of your choice means to buy the clubs that help you feel comfortable with and also the various shots.

Amateurs need not worry about the combinations of the clubs to be used and can use any number of clubs and experiment with them. Amateur golfing may turn out to be an experimental process which may eventually lead you to become a professional golfer or at least may help you play in tournaments.

The Amateur Flex

Amateurs can take clubs with a higher shaft flex, as most of the amateurs may not have got proper swing to hit long distances. But you also have to bear in mind that a higher flexibility of the shaft will result in less of accuracy. For those who can get really hit the ball harder and faster, lower flexibility will do great.

The Handicap Golfer

Low-Handicaps can be comfortable using one driver, a wood besides various wedges and lower irons. Mid-range players will run similar with low-handicaps and can use 3-wood, 7, 9 irons and woods.

Drivers and Woods for high-handicap players can be 3, 7 and 9 woods with various wedges. Being new to the game, high-handicaps are bound to take a lot more strokes and lack accuracy. More of shaft flexibility as mentioned above will also give them trajectory.

A different species

Amateurs and beginners find it difficult to use the irons due to their smaller heads, and hybrid types reap the advantages of both and mix them together. Woods have certain limitations like longer shafts which are difficult to use. Foregoing Irons, they use metals like steel and others and have similar design traits as Fairway Woods. Hybrids can be used to flight the ball higher with the average swing of the amateurs!

Know your height

Know your height and choose accordingly. This helps you take the right swing and a shorter length club for a taller person and vice-versa is not the wisest thing to do. Standard sizes suit all and those who are slightly shorter or taller than the average can choose clubs of different lengths.

A practical knowledge on golfing will make you better than an amateur golfer even if you golf for mere fun like a hobby. Sooner, knowledge on golf may take you to tournaments and compete with professionals and this can very well happen!
